Sponsor a Wreath for a Veteran

Past president of The Women’s Health Center of Putnam, PC, Dr. Steven Raheb has a background as an OB/GYN. A former naval medical officer, Dr. Steven Raheb had the honor of presenting a POW wreath at a wreath-laying ceremony on National Wreaths Across America Day on Dec. 20, 2020. The ceremony was part of a coordinated nationwide effort organized by Wreaths Across America.

Every year in December, Wreaths Across America remembers and honors veterans who have fought in wars, from the most recent conflicts to those dating back centuries. On National Wreaths Across America Day, the organization coordinates wreath–laying ceremonies at more than 2,100 locations in the United States and abroad. To do this, the organization relies on the generous support of donors.

You can sponsor a wreath for a fallen hero in this year’s National Wreaths Across America Day, which will be held on Dec. 18, 2021. You can donate one wreath for $15, two for $30, five for $75, 10 for $150, or a custom number. Wreaths Across America will use the donations to make hand-crafted wreaths with All-American balsam tied with a velvet bow. It makes these wreaths at its facility in Columbia Falls, Maine, and then ships them to various locations ahead of the designated day.

Similarly, you can choose to give and get a wreath or sponsor a wreath for a living veteran. If you choose to give and get a wreath, Wreaths Across America will make one wreath for a veteran and ship another to you. If you sponsor one for a living veteran, it will make and ship a wreath to the doorstep of your designated recipient.
